J + O.

Jonathan + Olivia opened it's Toronto location two weeks ago, but I just now got around to checking it out. Extending the must-check shopping area of Queen West even further isn't technically a bad thing (it's located on Ossington); as Zeb from Nomad has said, being slightly off the beaten path means only those in the know show up. J+O is definitely worth taking a long walk for; the space is far larger than what Toronto is used to (TNT excluded), and it is clean, well-lit, and logically laid out. While they will not be carrying all the lines the original Vancouver store does (noteable exception: Band Of Outsiders), what they do have manages to both cater to a wide audience, and keep to a rough, all-encompassing theme. Their sales people are friendly and knowledgeable, and if you want any Surface 2 Air x Justice collab pieces, this is the only place in town to get them. Speaking of which, those are well worth the price of admission, the leather jackets in particular are not done justice (hah) in pictures. If I had to choose though, I'd suggest going for the Robert Geller cadet jacket.

I ended up getting a Geller neck-strap shirt, and was most shocked when I received my bag. Yes, that's a picture of it up top. A fully recycleable, woven polypropelyne bag. Clever, and useful enough that I get to keep it around to lug things around in. Toronto just keeps improving, and J+O is another fine boutique to add to the lineup.
